    Abstract: 這是呂炳川教授於民國五十五年八月六日在當時嘉義縣吳鳳鄉（現今阿里山鄉）達邦村特富野部落所拍的四位族人的照片。這四位族人目前是特富野社四個重要家族的大長老，最左邊的一位是汪益義，左邊第二位是陳宗仁，第三位是石耀昌，最右邊一位是湯寶福。鄒族又稱曹族，人口主要分佈在嘉義縣阿里山鄉，其次為高雄縣三民鄉，另外還零星分佈於高雄縣桃園鄉、南投縣信義鄉境內。 總人口約七千多人。
