    Abstract: 這是呂炳川教授在民國五十五年八月六日到阿里山做田野工作時與十字路車站所拍的一張照片。當時要到鄒族的部落必須要坐森林小火車，坐到十字路之後，然後再步行才能夠到達邦村。鄒族又稱曹族，人口主要分佈在嘉義縣阿里山鄉，其次為高雄縣三民鄉，另外還零星分佈於高雄縣桃園鄉、南投縣信義鄉境內。 總人口約七千多人。
