    Abstract: Ya Yo為蘭嶼（Tao）人對椰油正名，另俗名為Imatoron，亦有另一個別稱Yo Yo，此一稱呼常為外村鄰人使用。Ya Yo原意是指本族人十分團結、英勇。本支西雅美族群曾於百年以前，對抗清庭並殲滅入侵者並保衛鄉里，因此獲得「島嶼勇士」美譽。台灣東南海外的蘭嶼島，面積四十五平方公里，是一火山島。全島大部份為山地，大半為熱帶雨林覆蓋。
