Abstract:	本文以黃永武先生大著《許慎之經學》作為研究對象，不但評述其研究方法與成果，揭示其經學研究之客觀意義及貢獻，抑且進一步延伸，探討經學研究及經學教育之現代課題，以突顯其在當今生活世界所可能呈現之價值。《許慎之經學》，徵引博洽，論詳實，評斷公允，向為學界所重視，洵為經學研究之力作。尤其可貴者，此書出版於民國六十一年，當時之政經情勢，實由台灣獨撐中華文化復興之重任，而中文學界之經學研究，仍在蓽路藍縷之開發階段，因此，本書之創造帶有領頭作用，別具學術意義。儒家經典在中華歷史文化傳統中，一向做為政治制度與社會秩序之合法性依據；落在歷史進程上，不同時代之經學均各具不同詮釋風貌及客觀成效。唯在今日政經情勢劇烈變動，學術多元發展之情況下，如何使經學之精神價值，重新被當代理解，通經致用，並結合於教育文化之中，發揮其在政治及社會之影響力，確實值得吾人予以深究。據上所述，本文之論述重點，除前言及結語之外，分為三節，其一，說明黃永武所著《許慎之經學》之撰寫體例及研究成果，其二，闡釋《許慎之經學》之客觀成就及學術意義。其三，以《許慎之經學》的學術貢獻為基礎，進而論經學在當代之使命及價值，提出其具體實施方式之建議。 The texts of Huang Yong-Wu’s “Xu Shen Classics Study” was explored in this essay. In addition to the introduction and the conclusion, there are three main sections in this essay. First, illustrate the style and the research results in “Xu Shen Classics Study”. Second, interpret its accomplishments and limits. Third, take “Xu Shen Classics Study” as a research foundation to comment on the value and mission of study on Confucianist Classics in contemporary time.
