Abstract: This paper examined the mediating role of anticipated guilt between consumer ethics and ethical intention. A mall-intercept, personal interview technique was applied. Interviewers successfully collected 373 questionnaires in three different cities in Taiwan. Confirmatory factor analysis provided sufficient evidence for the constructs. LISREL results confirmed that anticipated guilt did mediate the relationship between consumer ethics and ethical intention.
