摘要: | 台灣自行車產業歷經了數十年的發展,建立起完整的上、下游生產體系,所以台灣曾被稱為「自行車王國」。然而,面臨其他代工市場的競爭,製造商紛紛外移,前往成本低廉處生產,致使產量萎縮,自行車業者如何在競爭激烈的全球市場中不被淘汰淘汰並維持競爭優勢?本文研究主題進行探討。 傳統台灣自行車製造業者從接單代工生產起家,面臨代工困境後,現多朝向發展品牌的經營方式。自行車業者不斷升級轉型、創新研發,發表新材質、新功能,提升自行車的附加價值,生產方式上有的透過策略聯盟的方式導入豐田式生產管理,有的推行延遲哲學等;外銷部分則不再以量取勝,反而是出口單價逐年提高。儘管方式各有不同,但都是為了提升自行車產業的競爭力而努力。 本論文透過三個個案公司及一個策略聯盟組織的經營模式,以資料整理的方式,輔以訪談記錄,從生產、研發、代工、發展品牌、行銷等角度做的分析。研究發現,在製造高品質產品的前提之下,研發及發展品牌對於自行車業者的競爭力影響最大。 Taiwan's bicycle industry has developed for decades. As such industry has established its complete production system, Taiwan once was praised as the "kingdom of bicycles." However, in face of competition from other OEMs, manufacturer has searched for offshoring, reducing the production cost. In doing so, the theme of maintaining the competitiveness of Taiwan's bicycle industry in the global market is the subject of this thesis. Taiwan's bicycle manufacturing industry carved out from OEMs or ODMs. After experiencing a series of difficult positions, it approaches a operational mode of brand business. The bicycle entrepreneur is unceasingly devoted to reform, innovation research and development, issuing new material and functions, promoting bicycle's additional values. As to production method, it employs Toyota Production System management by means of strategy alliance, and also carries out "detention philosophy." For sale abroad part, it no longer maximizes quantity for export; instead raising unit price year by year. To sum up, the bicycle industry attempts to enhance its competitiveness by various strategies and methods. This thesis employs a business model of strategic alliance and conducts case studies as well as interviews for investigating Taiwan's bicycle industry in terms of production, innovation, OEM, brand business and marketing. The thesis finds that, given the precondition of high-quality manufacturing, R&D and brand creating are the most effective ways to sustain the competitiveness of Taiwanese bicycle industry. |
