Although the aesthetic attitude theory has been criticized severely by George Dickie, there are nevertheless scholars that object to Dickie’s critique to defend the aesthetic attitude theory. This paper will examine some objections proposed by the supporters of the aesthetic attitude theory and support Dickie’s view in the light of his intention to refute the psychologism in the philosophy of art.
