    Abstract:   文化是國家未來發展的主要力量,而藝術休閒亦將成為現代人生活中的主要休閒活動;因此政府近年來積極展開各項文化建設,在硬體方面:興建各類型的展演空間,包含博物館、演藝廳、音樂廳、歌劇院、美術館、科博館、工藝館。在軟體方面:制定相關文化法條、扶植國內藝術表演團隊、培育藝術表演人才、舉辦各類地方文藝季、更推出社區總體營造計畫,希望藉由文化建設多元面向的積極推廣,近一步提升居民生活環境與精神品質。    表演藝術展演設施是藝文表演團隊與民眾溝通的橋樑,透過這個橋樑可以搭起文化的傳承與創新。同時,展演場所本身除了場地的供給之外,必定有其他相關的效應能量可加以運用。藉由有形的場地,有意的作為,將藝文活動在無形中結合於居民日常生活中;並透過不斷的推廣、宣傳,改變居民基礎的文化生活模式,延續地方傳統、凝聚地方的認同、造就地方的共識,發展出屬於自己獨特的文化空間,對居民的精神生活與提升居民的文化水準,具有相當大的影響力。   本研究以個案研究的方式,藉由深度訪談、文獻分析,次級資料的蒐集,探討嘉義縣表演藝術中心成立後,對地方文化活動推廣、地方文化保存、地方文化教育紮根、地方藝文團體的輔導、地方居民文化生活提昇等,各方面所產生的影響。並進一步分析、歸納,試建構出具體、並能有效執行之建議,提供嘉義縣表演藝術中心做為未來經營規劃參考。
      Culture is the main strength for a country's further development in the future , and the artistic recreation will also become the main activity in modern people's leisure time; Therefore, government has launched into each cultural infrastructure in recent years. In the aspect of hardware: Construct various types of performance spaces, including museums, performance halls, music halls, opera houses, art museums, national museums of natural science, and national science and technology museums. In the aspect of software: Formulate related cultural laws, support the domestic artistic performance teams, foster talented people of artistic performance, hold different kinds of local literary and arts events or festivals, and give impetus to the community development plans, hoping that we can promote resident's living environment and quality of the spiritual needs through the multidimensional popularize of the cultural infrastructure.   Setting performing arts area facilities is the bridge between the literary arts performance teams and the public, which passes down and innovates the culture. What's more, besides the supply of performing arts areas, there must be other related ways for application. Through visible locations and intended actions, literary arts activities can be combined with the residents' daily lives. And by constantly popularizing and advertising, residents' basic cultural life models can be changed, traditions can be passed downward, social identities can be agglomerated, local mutual consensus to can be accomplished, and unique cultural distinctions can be developed. It has a great influence on promoting residents' cultural level and spiritual lives.   Case study is adopted in this research, through depth interviews, literature analysis, and secondary data collection to discuss the promotion of local cultural events, the preservation of local culture, rooting for local culture and education, local literary and arts association's guidance, the promotion of local residents' culture lives, and other various influential aspects after the construction of Chiayi Performing Arts Center. After further analyzing and inducing, researcher tries to construct a concrete and effective suggestion, which can be provided to the Chiayi Performing Arts Center as the reference for the management plans in the forthcoming future.
