    摘要:   書法是我國文化當中極具表徵性的一個傳統,它同時兼具著實用性與藝術性的本質與特色。隨著現代社會書寫方式與型態的多元化,書法的普及性、實用性機能逐漸衰退、弱化之際,在常民生活當中,它實際存在的樣態、內容以及所具有的功能與意義,藉著社區大學書法班的基層性、一般性、生活性特色,以及學員在參與和角色上的方便性、多元性,似乎反而更能夠凸顯出書法在現階段社會中的文化意涵。   本論文針對雲林社區大學各教學中心的承辦人員、講師、學員以及教學場域等類項,採用參與觀察、深度訪談、問卷調查等方法,從文化研究的角度來分析、探討書法在教與學的操作與過程當中,所展現、內含及賦予的各種價值與意義,以作為書法教學、推廣、發展之參考。   論文第一章為緒論,第二章探討社區大學的背景與發展,第三章為雲林縣社區大學書法教學的脈絡分析與研究,第四章則為社區大學書法教學過程當中的各種現象及其詮釋,透過深度訪談及問卷分析,以民族誌的方法描述、探討其中所存在及呈現的現象內容與操作機制,並進一步解讀其中所具有的文化意涵。第五章結論,是本研究的總結,但也是後續研究的另一個開始。
      Chinese calligraphy is a highly representative tradition in Chinese culture with features of practicability and artistry. With diversification of writing ways and morphology, gradual recession and weakening of popularity and practical functions of Chinese calligraphy in modern society, its real existing form, inclusions, functions and significances seem to be more capable of highlighting its cultural meanings in modern society nowadays by virtue of the fact that Chinese calligraphy class of community colleges are oriented to civilians at basic levels within an inch of life and students can conveniently take the class with multivaried roles.   This paper utilizes such methods as observation, in-depth interview, questionnaire and the like toward subjects including the organizers, teachers, students and teaching fields of all teaching centers of the community college of Yunlin. It analyzes and discusses all values and significances of Chinese calligraphy exhibited, included and given during its teaching and learning process from the perspective of culture study for future reference to Chinese calligraphy teaching, generalization and development.   Chapter 1 is the preface. Chapter 2 discusses the backgrounds and development of the community college. Chapter 3 presents the venation analysis and research of Chinese calligraphy teaching in the community college of Yunlin County. Chapter 4 includes all phenomena during the Chinese calligraphy teaching process and their interpretations. This chapter describes and discusses existing phenomena and operation mechanisms by means of ethnography, and further read its cultural meanings based on in-depth interview and questionnaire. Chapter 5 gives the conclusions which are the summary of the research and another start point for further researches.
