    摘要:   本研究的主要目的是運用語音辨識(Speech Recognition, SR)、語音合成(Text-To-Speech, TTS)與預錄語音等技術,以VXML(Voice eXtensible Markup Language)程式語言來建構可以使用行動裝置來進行英語學習的教學系統。此系統可以突破時地的限制,提供學習者一個隨時隨地的英語學習環境,根據語言學習的特性,強調英語聽、說的教學,想學好語言就要常聽常說,所以本系統英語教學課程以聽、說為主,學習者藉由和本系統以互動的方式來增加英語聽、說之經驗,奠定良好的英語口語溝通基礎。我們以Voxeo prophecy-8.0環境來做為執行平台,藉由內部提供的SIP Phone 網路電話撥打進入英語教學系統,以語音輸入方式選擇功能與課程進行學習,目前三個主要功能:一、單字學習區、二、 單字測驗區、三、口語加強區。但由於使用設備是行動裝置所以只適合短時間的課程教學,所以在教學內容只以簡短情境式例句引導向課程單字,考慮到是用語音方式輸入所以採用發問的方式使學習者能明確且快速學習,系統評估資料收集方式採用放聲思考法及問卷來進行資料的蒐集,以敘述性統計來表示資料分析的結果,而結果顯示大多的受測者認為本語音英語學習系統不管在操作使用上或提供的語音說明與回饋都是感到滿意的,並且認為如果持續使用確實可以有效的增進學習者英語口語的信心。
      The substance of this research is about the system make use the technology of Speech Recognition、Text-To-Speech and transcribe speech sound, to build a English learing system by using mobile installation with programming language,VXML(Voice eXtensible Markup Language). This system can break through the limitation of time and place, to provide learner with a learning English environment anytime and anywhere. According to the characteristic of learning language, if want to learn language well, you need always listen and speak. So the course of this English teaching system emphasize listening and speaking. The learner can increase the experience of English listening and speaking by using this system with interactive manner, to strike root the satisfactory English colloquial communication basic.    Let the environment of Voxeo prophecy-8.0 developed by Voxeo company be administration platform, enter the English teaching system by the supplied web phone, SIP Phone, and choose the function and course to learn by the way of entering speech sound. Now there are three main functions : 1.vocabulary learning 2. vocabulary testing 3.colloquial strengthening. Because of using mobile installation, it only suit the short time teaching course, the teaching content lead the vocabulary by brief situation sentence. According to the way of entering speech sound, so the system adopt the way of asking question to let learner can enter the teaching system to learn English clearly and quickly. The collection method of this system valuation information is adopting sound thinking and questionnaire, express the result of information analysis by depiction statistics, And the result shows most people feel good about the operating and the feeding back and the sound instruction of this learning system, and they think continue using this learning system certainly can improve the ability of English conversation and increase the confidence of the learner.
