    摘要: 本論文針對施叔青的「香港三部曲」的藝術特色,輔以女性主義理論中的兩性角色及殖民論述來分析「香港三部曲」中的意涵。除緒論與結論外,本論文主要分為五個部分: 一、基於香港的百年殖民情境,施叔青發願心以現實主義的寫作手法,試圖呈現百年前的香港,但深受現代主義洗禮的施叔青,耽於營造玄祕的意象,因此在「香港三部曲」中,可看到這兩種看似抵觸的寫作方式,純熟互滲的運用。 二、在「香港三部曲」的藝術特色部分,除就人物角色的塑造、參差有異的語言風格及繽紛的在地色彩試做探討外,書中充滿性意象及微物景觀的刻劃、豐富的象徵筆法都是探討的重點。 三、「香港三部曲」中主角黃得雲的身世遭遇與香港的殖民經驗相互呼應,作者藉蝴蝶身世影射香港,香港就是作者筆下的蝴蝶。 四、論文藉兩性的角力探討其政治寓意,由女性主義出發,探討女性如何經由經濟獨立脫離男性掌控,看「香港三部曲」中的黃得雲與嚴歌苓筆下的扶桑,如何在妓女的既有形象下轉換。 五、論文的第六章則陳述在香港的殖民背景下,殖民的英國人如何看待被殖民的東方之珠,並探討在殖民/被殖民,征服/被征服之間,「香港三部曲」中的人物角色轉換,是否如殖民論述中的一成不變?
    The dissertation is in analysis of the connotations in The Trilogy of Hong Kong by Sue-chin Shi, focusing mainly on the artistic features of the work, with application of theories on gender role in feminism and colonial discourse. The dissertation can be divided into five parts: 1. In light of the colonial milieu of Hong Kong for almost a hundred years, Shi tries to re-present Hong Kong in the nineteenth century in modernist narrative. However, Shi, who is influenced profoundly by modernism, also desires to manipulate metaphysical images; thus, we can see the maneuver of interpenetration of two seemingly contradicting writing styles in the work. 2. In the aspects of artistic features of The Trilogy of Hong Kong, besides discussion of characterizations, interpenetrating language styles and various local colors, the sexual images, the depiction of microcosmic landscapes, and the rich symbolic poetics, which are saturated in this work, are all perspectives of investigation. 3. The personal life of the protagonist, Der-wing Huang is reflexive of the colonial experience of Hong Kong. The author wants to reflect Hong Kong in the life of a butterfly, comparing Hong Kong colonial history to the history of a butterfly. 4. The dissertation is in research of the political implications through struggles in gender, discussing how the female get away from male domination through economic independence, and how the transformation of conventional concepts of prostitute gets realization under the narratives of Japan in the perspectives of Der-win Huang, and Ger-ling Jen. 5. The chapter six of the dissertation narrates dialectically how the colonizing British men looks upon the colonized Hong Kong in the background of colonization of imperialism, investigating whether the notions of binary oppositions, such as colonizing/colonized or conquering/conquered, could be subverted in the transformations of characters in the stolid colonial discourse?
