一個國家的「國力」是她本身動員全社會的人力和物質資源的一種過程。這種力量在國際角力場中，可以被簡單的定義為一個國家的政府，無論藉由說服、壓迫、或公然使用武力等任何方法，迫使他國政府就範的能力。因此，研究國力對一個國家那是必須的。特別地，隨著國際情勢的快速改變，我們應該加快科技的發展，來提升我們的國力。 The national power of a country is in itself a process of mobilizing the human and material resources of the whole society. The Power in the international arena can be simply defined as the ability of the government of one state to cause the government of another state to do something which the latter otherwise would not choose to do, or to cause the government of another state to refrain from doing something it wants to do, whether by persuasion, coercion, or outright military force. As a result, it is urgent for the state to research nation power. Especially, with the radical change of international situtation, we might as well speed up the development of science and technology, lift our national power.
