摘要:	都市是人民累積生活經驗的一個場所，在這個場所中，使用者經由對環境的體驗進而認知整體都市的生活型態和社會經濟發展過程。本研究是從都市文化內涵，來分析都市中各項建設的結構與願景，以及在全球化影響下都市空間改變的力量，並且探討地方特色與空間發展的關係。　　　都市中的全球觀與在地化有很多面向可以用來發掘其潛能，台中市從消費城市逐漸發展為中部都會中心過程中，吸引了許多外來人口及建設方案，本文以都市空間的轉化與現在各項期望中的建設分析，探討以下幾個問題：　一、都市為一社會的產物，在現今生產演變的全球化過程中，如何接應其影響，而轉變現在的都市型態。二、在全球化的社會裡，如何定位自己城市的角色，如何的建立自己在地特色的城市風格。三、在現今的社會脈絡中，都市所賦予的階段性歷史建設，可以解讀出當時的不同都市意義，再透過此一過程，則可以將特定時空下的都市空間形式關聯上社會構造。本研究著墨在台中市中心衰退的歷史、鐵路地下化來改善中心的運輸功能、台中科學園區的定案、加上清泉崗國際機場以及台中港特定區的運作、古根漢美術館的籌建，各項建設都在催促著台中市都市更新，希望可以更往國際城市的腳步邁進，那以後的台中市又會在世界上屬於何種角色定位值得期待。台中市預擬著未來都市命運的改變，期盼著以國際港市及高科技的建構，企圖迎向都市的全球化潮流。　　　　城市空間紋理，常常造成單一、同質性的都市空間型態，可是在都市空間結構上的各項措施，卻又是和市民生活息息相關，但是居民對其都市的認知上，卻常呈現出各個單一點的現象，沒有注意到在環境開發中都市原有的紋理，對於此一現象，認為應該以市民為都市主角的觀念下，來整合及加強其空間結構元素。總而言之，如何具體掌握各項建設的形塑過程及其在開發中所關聯的各種配套措施，以貼近都市的發展及市民的需要，試圖整理出台中都市的目前各大建設願景，探索著生活空間的意義，發揮台中的都會區塊發展潛在能力，不致於迷失在這個全球化的漩渦中。　　　Urban city is a place to accumulate the living experience of the people. From this place, the users will acknowledge the process of urban living mode and the development of social economy through the experience from environment. This research is to proceed from the content of urban culture and to analyze various constructional structures and prospects as well as under influence of globalization and the change factors of the urban space, and further to research on the relationship between local characteristics and space development. 　　　In global view on the urban city and localization, there are many aspects to be applied for exploiting the potential. During the process of consuming city of Taichung city gradually developed into a central urban center, it has been attracted with many outside population and construction projects. This study is to discuss about the following questions on basis of urban space transforming and constructional analysis on various expected projects: 　1.Urban city is a production product of the society. In the process of globalization, how it will be affected to become current urban mode. 2.In the globalization society, how it can be located and fixed its role and how it can set-up its own urban style with local characteristics. 3.In the stream of modern society, the historical construction for urban city at different phase can be symbolized for contemporary different meaning.　　　Through this process, the specific urban space form has related to the social construction. This research is to study on the history of Taichung downtown declining, railway underground project to improve the transportation function for downtown, Taichung Industrial Park project, as well as Ching Chuan Kang International Airport, Taichung Harbor operation, and construction of Guggenheim Museum, etc. various constructions that urge the urban renewal of Taichung City. It is a hope that Taichung City could march into to be an international city. Then, what’s kind of the role for Taichung City to act in the worldwide stage, it is worthy of expecting in the near future. Taichung City is scheduled to change the future urban destiny, and it is expected to become an international city with construction of high technology. Moreover, it has matched to the fashion trend of urban globalization.　　　　In the range of urban space, there is often resulted in a single and homogeneous urban space mode, but various policies on the construction of urban space have a close relation to the living of the citizens. However, the acknowledgement of residents to urban city often occur the phenomenon of individual single point and not notice about the original principle of the environment for urban development. For such a condition, it is to consider with concept to take citizen as major urban role, the space elements for construction can be integrated and emphasized. In short, how to grasp specifically the various constructions on urban mode and develop various packages on policies so as to meet for urban development and the demand of citizens, this research tries to figure out current prospects on Taichung city, seeks for the meaning of living space, as well as develops the potential ability of urban Taichung district without being lost in the whirlpool of globalization.
