This study on people with Spinal Cord Injury was carried out for the aim of researching and discussing their perception of pain and adjustment experiences, in which the researcher adopted Hermeneutical Phenomenology as the principle and the body ontology of Merleau-Ponty as the meta-theory, proceeding with the analysis of the living experiences through narration and unveiling the sensational chaos of the body-subject and the on-going sensation of suffering in our society/culture, which the 3 participants in this research have been subjected to. Spinal Cord injury causes transformation on corporeal schema. The tangible agony encountered by the subjects is considered experiences that vary from normality and in addition to that, the bodily decomposition also results in some sensations, in terms of spatiality and temporality, uniquely known by the injurers. Besides, the body-subject is the dissimilation as far as the physical sensation is concerned and the changes in the body image after the injury, existing in our society/culture, which expresses the life experience under certain kind of circumstances of disability.
