Abstract:	「白河蓮花節」！一個結合地方與產業的代名詞，在近年來的種種因素造成下，導致本身產業的沒落與變遷，而本研究將透過一個地景深層閱讀的過程，再現出屬於當地的日常生活、集體記憶與空間意涵。整體來說，本論文一開始是以歷史時間為軸，日常生活為緯的研究方向下，進行白河地景的深層閱讀，並在閱讀地景的深層意義中，發掘白河的空間命運與空間性的社會生產與構成。　　　在研究的方法上主要採取地方的歷史文獻、居民的生活記憶訪談與身體的空間經驗來進行場所的閱讀與書寫。在知識論的層次上，乃從地景詮釋的人文觀點出發，透過地方性知識、空間生產與社會建構的空間論述協助研究者建立對地方的觀感並架構一套閱讀空間的方法。最後以一個區域整合的方式來重新建構出已經消逝的區域特色與產業地景。　　　針對上述的研究觀點，研究者一方面對空間研究做一個認識論的反思，另一方面亦透過地方場所的主體意義建構來解釋台灣的生活經驗。因此，研究所討論的時空背景是白河從一開始的荒蕪地景，演變至現在的地方產業活動的興起與沒落，在經濟的發展下，從興盛的蓮花節活動，到現在的沒落情形所產生的流動與變遷。整個研究的過程是在巨觀的歷史事實中，將地方產業的地景經驗聚焦於「白河」，用來解讀白河地方記憶與日常生活的地景表徵，並作為台灣在經歷每個時期的一個地方經驗詮釋。　　　因此對此研究主題主要的討論核心在於：一、白河的地方意義與空間性的社會建構。二、白河地區產業時空建構下的地景與生活經驗。三、發掘消逝的空間經驗並發現新的地方特色。　　　白河空間產業地景的討論進行一個空間命運的探索、解構並做深入的瞭解。從對歷史發展過程的陳述，到地理空間變遷的環境分析，最後進入蓮業空間生產時期之鼎盛與衰落的空間想像，最終到達預期給予的一個建議。研究的最後看到了整個白河的空間性形成脈絡與地方社會的建構，並預期看到其未來之發展。　　Baihe Lotus Festival , a combination of local and production, has become declined and changed a lot due to a variety of reasons these years. My study will be through the process of background research and reflect local daily life, group memory and space meanings. By and large, my thesis is base on past history, daily life and to find out space destiny, space social production as well as constitution by local history background.　　　My research mainly includes local history documents, the interview with inhabitants’ memory and my reading records by myself. On knowledge, I use the viewpoints of humanism, through local people’s knowledge, social construction to help researchers to build up their reading thought. At last, the area combination is basically a way to rebuild fading area characters and production background.As we know from the above, researchers can not only understand space research, but only explain Taiwan’s daily life experience by means of local places. Therefore, Bai Ho from having nothing to having everything, including right now production rising and falling. Using macro history viewpoint can understand Taiwan’s every period.　The thesis includes：A. Bai Ho local meaning and space social constructionB.
