摘要: | 本研究主要對於學生志工參與志願服務的過程中,探討以下三個問題:(一)學生參與志願服務的動機(二)志願服務對學生的益處(三)學校如何鼓勵學生投入社團參與志願服務。為達上述目的,研究對象是國立空中大學嘉義學習指導中心社會服務社,研究資料收集方法是以質性訪談方式為主,並以檔案資料為輔,,針對八位資深幹部,經過訪談、逐字稿的編碼、主題分析與檔案資料相對照,得到以下結論: 影響空大學生投身志願服務的動機,包括如下幾項:1.基於利他精神;2.為充實生活內涵;3.視志願服務為一項休閒活動;4.為增廣見聞與學習社會知識;5.因個人宗教信仰的影響;6.受同儕及家人的影響而參與志願服務。 空大學生從志願服務活動所獲得的益處則有:1.由參與中得到助人的喜悅,並因而能體會人際間互助與關懷的重要性,及修正自己的人生觀;2.由中獲得友誼,並進而建立互助互持的社會支持網絡;3.由參與中習得領導、溝通、容忍與尊重等社會技巧,有助於未來的社會生活能力。 本研究的第三個研究問題是:學校該如何設計相關的機制來促進學生投入社團。研究分析結果顯示,學校除需建立完善的誘因機制,如:將志願服務視為課程的一部分,鼓勵學生參與;提供適當的活動空間以利社團活動;提供適當的獎補助措施,以支援社團志願服務活動;簡化行政措施及建立溝通協調管道等等外,學校仍需建立社會中志願服務機會的訊息交換平台,及校外活動的支援措施,以支持學生投身學校之外的志願服務活動。 最後,本研究除檢討研究過程中的限制與不足外,並基於前述個案分析結果,提出若干值得再深入探析的研究方向與議題的建議,以供後續相關參考。 The study researches the following three questions of student volunteers while they are offering their service; they are: (1) motives of student volunteers (2) benefits to student volunteers (3)how schools encourage students participate in volunteering. To achieve above purpose, the social service club of National Open University at Chiayi Center is the researched target, and data collection is mainly through intervie added with document data. After interviewing the eight senior staffs of the club, the conclusion below is thus obtained by word decoding, topic analyzing and document data comparing. There are several factors that affect N.O.U. students’ motivation in participating volunteering. They are: (1) the thought of benefiting others, (2) enrichment of personal life, (3) taking volunteering as leisure activities, (4) broadening personal experience and social knowledge, (5) the effects of personal religious beliefs, and (6) influence from friends and family. The benefits that N.O.U. students obtained from volunteering are: (1) enjoyment from helping others, realizing the importance of consideration and mutual help, furthermore, and modifying self- view of life. (2) obtaining friendship and building social assistance web of mutual help and assistance through volunteer service. (3) learning leadership, communication, tolerance and respect from participation, which will be good for future social living capability. The third question of this study is: how can school design relative system to encourage students participate in clubs. After researching and analyzing, the result shows that the school has to establish a complete incentive system, For example,the volunteering should be deemed as a school curriculum to encourage students’ participation. Besides, the school has to build an appropriate remuneration system to promote clubs’ participation in the volunteering. The administrative methods should be simplified, and communication tunnel should be set up. Also, the school has to set up information exchange platform for social volunteer service and assisting methods for out-school activities, by encourage students to participate in out-school volunteer services. Finally, this study not only review the restriction and deficiency during researching process, but also analyzes the result based on the above-mentioned case analysis for exploring more researching directions and issues worthy for later reference. |
