Human beings have undergone the transition from the agricultural society through the industrial society and into an information society. Nowadays, the information communication technology is expanding rapidly and widely applied in every facet of our daily lives. This digital wave is sweeping across the world. It not only enhances the organizational efficiency, but also improves the quality of human life as well as broadens humans’ fields of view. E-learning incorporates the information communication technology into the learning process so as to increase learners’ interests and their learning effects. This research employed the approaches of literature review and in-depth interview to investigate how the Foundation of Taiwan Organization for Philanthropic Education (F.T.O.P.E.) promoted e-learning into NPO courses. This study adopted the questionnaire survey designed by F.T.O.P.E. to explore the needs of e-learning towards the NPO professionals. The researcher analyzed based on this questionnaire survey and further described the three major services provided by F.T.O.P.E., namely the NPO e-learning system, the NPO books and information search system, and the NPO professional consulting system. With the digitization of NPO courses, the design of the course content becomes increasingly significant. Therefore, this paper introduced the design of the course content as well as the arrangement of the course category. The F.T.O.P.E. offers the information education service on the basis of knowledge sharing and passing along and makes use of the quick access to information in the Internet age to continuously support NPO and enhance NPO staff’s skills and abilities. This research expects to provide its results and findings to F.T.O.P.E. to help them promote NPO e-learning courses in the future. This paper suggests that F.T.O.P.E. should build a knowledge creation environment through e-learning and establish an NPO knowledge database to construct a no-time-limit information platform. In addition, F.T.O.P.E. should develop the adaptive abilities of NPO leaders, staff and volunteers to face the challenges and difficulties in a rapidly changing environment and as well to attract more persons to be involved in the nonprofit organizations.
