Abstract:	長久以來人們忽略自然環境存在的價值和消失的傷害，也忽略了改變土地結構所造成的生態損失，更忽略地域文化性特色，海岸環境也是文化的一部份，海岸生態的消失就是本土文化的失落，地域性文化特色逐漸被轉化為單一文化；地域性文化特色之探討與推展，只有在地人了解在地的地域文化性特色及其重要性；本研究以在地人找尋土地歷史人文脈絡，將雲林縣台西鄉近百年來台西海岸土地變遷的歷程，以歷史的資料現象來詮釋變遷的歷程，且作有系統的論述；盡一份「在地人」之本份，對海岸土地文化消失與重生進行研究。　　　本研究藉著歷史土地利用資料進行海岸變遷分析，對海岸土地利用變遷空間動態情形分成四階段進行探討：第一階段軍事用地、第二階段複合式農漁業用地、第三階段漁業用地、第四階段離島工業區預定用地；並運用科學技術論述，輔以社會經濟相關資訊以進行驗證與分析結果。　　　研究結果海岸土地變遷的因素：歷史的因素、產業結構的變遷、人為因素。海岸土地從多樣性的自然生態景觀、豐富的土地資源，變遷到地層下陷災害、未來離島工業區開發與建廠造成衝擊，土地的擁有者對他們自己的土地喪失信心而放棄這塊土地，這可說是國土的浩劫。　　　海岸土地變遷的歷程中，發現改變土質的方式「把滄海變桑田，開發複合式的農漁業用地」；本研究將這個方式提供台西鄉以後改良鹽化土地，也能往這方面去思考，期望台西鄉海岸土地資源永續利用。　　Human beings have been neglecting the existent worth and disappeared damage of natural environment for a long time. They also have been neglecting the ecosystem loss caused by changing the land structure, even ignoring region cultural special features. The coast environment is also one part of culture, and its disappearance represents the lost of local culture, then its specific feature converted into single culture. Only the natives know their localism and its significance. Therefore, the study tries to search for the land history and its culture by getting from the natives. The most important topic at present is to explain and discuss systematically the process of coastal land change for hundred years in Taisi Township of Yunlin County. To be a native, I do my best to study the disappearance and rebirth of the coastal land culture.　　　The study proceeds to analyze coastal change by the data of land use in history. We discuss the space dynamics state on the change of the coastal land use and divide into four stages：land used for military, compounding type land used for agriculture and fishery, land used for fishery and reserved land for off-shore industry area. We also make use of scientific technology to state, assisting with some information about social economy to prove and analyze the result with the space data.　　　The factors in changing of coastal land are historical factor, the change of industry structure and human factor. This is the calamity of our land that the land subsidence and the development and establishment of off-shore industry attack on the diversity natural ecological scenery, resulted in that land owners lose their faith in their land, then to abandon the land.　　　In the process of coastal land change, we find the way to change the quality in soil –changing the sea into the farmland and developing compound land used for agriculture and fishery. The research provides Taisi Township to think on improving salinification land and the resource of the coastal land in Taisi Township for sustainable use.
