    摘要: 　　一九九○年代末期以來，東亞地區的國家為了因應「全球化」與「區域化」趨勢所帶來的壓力，也紛紛加入此地區的經濟整合，然而隨著「東協加一」、「東協加三」、「中日韓」以及「東亞高峰會」的成立，我們都可以發現到美國並沒有在這一波東亞區域經濟整合的名單之中，但是長久以來，由於美國一直是東亞各國對外經貿關係中最重要的國家，所以美國的態度與立場一直備受東亞各國所關切。因此本文試著從美國的觀點，並利用文獻分析法與歷史比較研究法，來探究美國對東亞區域經濟整合所作的立場與反應，並進而歸納出美國在東亞區域經濟整合中所扮演的角色，以做為我國因應東亞區域經濟整合之參考。
    　　Since the end of 1990s, in order to withstand the pressure from the “the regionalization” and “the globalization”, the East Asian area countries have being joined the local economic integration. While “ASEAN Plus One”, “ASEAN Plus Three”, “Chinese, Japanese, and South Korea” as well as “the East Asian Summit” have been established, we find out that the United States of America does not include into this list, which is about the East Asian region economic integration. However, for a long period, the United States of America plays an important part in the trade among the East Asia countries; the manner and the standpoint of the United States of America are always be took into concern for the East Asia countries.Hence, this paper stands the point of view from the United States of America, using the documentary analysis method and the historical comparison methodology to explore the standpoint and the reaction of the United States of America versus the East Asian region economic integration; moreover, to induce the role of the United States of America, which acts in the integration with in the East Asian region economy. In conclusion, this paper will give some suggestions for our country, the Republic of China, in accordance to the East Asian region economical integration.
