Swimming is Taiwanese people's main activity in summer, but there are very many accidental events happened to play with water every year, even drowned and dead. In view of this, we hope that the swimming training class, which non-profit organization runs, comes to help children in the family with low income or not good of economic base to acquire swimming ability. Further we let parents have understanding of swimming, and increase children’s motive of participating in the training class. Therefore, it can help that these children not only acquire the fundamental ability to save themselves in water, but also strengthen the body. The researcher regarded the parents of the pupils in the national primary school of Chia-Yi county as respondents, and used the questionnaire to investigate if these parents can swim by the parents and family’s background. In relation of the recognition and the motive to participating in the swimming training class which non-profit organization runs, we further understand if the recognition and the motive of participating in the training class are different. The research proved that the parents with lower incomes, lower education or job for agro-industrial ethnicity need the lower charge or free swimming training class. As a result of the difference between the swimming and other sports, the swimming has the ability of saving themselves. Consequently the non-profit organization, the public welfare group, runs the swimming train class to charge in the lower or free, and it not only can popularize sports of swimming but also can make the children of the poor stratum generally learn swimming to avoid the accident caused by playing with water. The research showed that the degree of non-profit organization’s acceptance for the poor stratum is less than for middle and upper stratum. Therefore, the non-profit organization should hold the swimming training class by propagating through the bureau of education or the provided school and furthermore obtain the people's trust and support to increase the chances of the pupil participating in the class. In addition, the nonprofit organization should consider the teachers' profession and security of software and hardware, when they run the swimming training class. And it can achieve a basic objective of professional and safe teaching.
