    摘要:   本研究主要目的在探討嘉義縣某個案小學整併後的學生的學習及適應情況。本研究係以一所被整併的國民小學為對象進行個案研究,透過參與訪談以及文件分析等方式收集資料,藉此了解個案學校的學生適應情形,以及當地社區的回應取向,主要發現如下:一、個案學校學童併校後在課業學習銜接適應良好,並無太大差異情事。二、個案學校學童在生活調適方面可以在二周內進入狀況,只有少數學童適期約需一個月左右時間適應。三、個案學校面臨整併過程中,校長的溝通協調能力,是決定整併能否順利完成關鍵因素。四、學童上下學的交通問題以及低、中、高年級放學時間能否配合一致,是當地居民最為關切的問題之一。根據本研究結果謹提出幾點建議如下:一、學校方面應持續關切路程較遠學童的上課狀況,並在校內持續開辦安親課輔或是才藝課程,幫忙照顧孩童,統一低、中、高年級放學時間,以利家長接送。二、縣市政府方面應加強對被整併學校校內及校外人員的溝通與宣導。三、應正視當地社區校友的護校情結,併校溝通說明會發現反對併校以校友居多,只因為他們不希望曾經就讀過的母校就這樣結束,建議持續加強對校友的溝通,並建置保留學校網頁或於新的學校中設置校史室。四、台灣在六都行政區域升格改制之後,即便是高雄、桃園、新北市、台南市亦面臨到國民中小學整併的迫切性,如何使「教育行政資源的分配運用」做更合理的分配運用,值得後續研究者深入探討。五、「城鄉教育資源與受教權的公平正義」(亦即學校整併評估標準的正當性)等課題,是一直都存在為人所詬病的問題,學校整併以後是否還有其他方式可以繼續幫助偏鄉小孩的教育,值得學術界未來研究的重要課題。
      The purpose of this study is to explore the learning and adaptation of students from an anonymous elementary school case in Chiayi County after the school integration. The study adopted this integrated elementary school as the research participant in the case study. The interview and document analysis data collection methods were adopted to gain an insight into the situation of the case school students’ adaptation and the orientation of responses to the local community. The main findings are as follows: 1. The case school students showed good adaptation to academic learning after the school integration, without much deviation.2. The case school students managed to adapt to daily life within two weeks; a few students needed about one month to adapt. 3. The key factor contributing to the successful integration of the school was the principal’s communication and coordination ability during the case school’s integration process. 4. The issues of the greatest concern to the local residents are commuting and whether or not the student dismissal times for low-grade, middle-grade, and high-grade students are in line with commuting arrangements. Based on the research results, some suggestions are presented as follows: 1. The school should continue to deal with some critical issue as the class attendance of children requiring long-distance commuting, continue to commence day-care or talent classes to take care of children, and devise uniform student dismissal times for low-grade, middle-grade, and high-grade students to make it convenient for parents to pick up and drop off their children.2. The government should: strengthen communication and advocacy of the integrated school, both internally and externally.3. It is important to recognize the“alumni’s complex to protect the local community”.During the school integration seminar,the alumni had shown their opposition against the school integration plan, as they were reluctant to see their alma mater come to an end. It is suggested that communication with alumni continues to be strengthened, the school 4. In consideration to Taiwan’s current situation, especially after the six administrative regions were upgraded and reconstructed, even Kaohsiung, Taoyuan, New Taipei City, and Tainan City are faced with the urgency of elementary and junior high school integration.Therefore, how to make more reasonable distribution and use of “educational and administrative resources” is worth further in-depth study by researchers.5.“Urban and rural educational resource distribution and the right to education justice” (i.e. the legitimacy of the school integration assessment standard) is an issue long been subject to criticism. Whether or not there are other ways to continue to help children from remote areas to receive education after the school integration remains an important issue for future research by the academic circle.
