Abstract:	面對現實世界的苦難與不幸，人們很自然地希望能藉超越界或不可思議的力量，脫離現世苦厄，亦即期盼獲得拯救或得以超脫，因此，對於生命的終極關懷，實是世界各不同宗教都關心的重要議題。然而，隨著生命關懷與義理間的詮釋關係日益細緻化，許多潛在的詮釋衝突，會讓各不同宗教，面對諸多問題，並趨向更為深刻的義理發展。本文以基督新教與佛教為考察之對象，希望能透過對此二教的救贖思想加以比較，以探討不同文化對於生命之終極關懷的態度差異，並由之以比較不同宗教的文化特性。
