The study of this paper will give a detailed analysis of "theory of games" which was firstly introduced by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari. The "theory of games" then will be embedded in John Fowles's eminent The French Lieutenant's Woman where Fowles's surrogate Sarah Woodruff executes the free entropic power of her game world. The strategy of "game" for Deleuze and Fowles is a principle concept of the writing-machine which operates the game world and the story world because the state of game is dynamical and "applicable to the playing fields of the human heart." In terms of game, writing for them is an important machine to deal with the interactive states of story world. Hence, this paper is, based on Deleuze and Guattari's "theory of games," to examine the function of writing or writing-machine, the strategy of Sarah's game and Charles's becoming.
