Life-Care-Counselors' training was a volunteer, para-professional helping model including six graduate courses of the Life-and-Death Studies of Nan-Hua University and one on-site practicum, with a purpose to increase the participants' self-proficiency. The six graduate courses of the Life-and-Death Studies are (1)Fundamentals of Life-and-Death studies,(2)Seminar for the theory of Counseling & Psychotherapy,(3)Seminar on Counseling and Psychotherapy skills,(4)The Seminar of the Grief Guidance and the Expressive Art Therapy,(5)Special Topic on Terminal Care, and the sixth course is choosing one from four courses which is Special Topic of Mindfulness Science and Study of Meditation, Special topic on Psychodrama and Loss healing, Seminar on Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, TCM Psychology. This study based on semi-structured, interviewed eight volunteer participants who had been enrolled in the “Life-Care-Counselors' internship course” in the second semester of the 104 academic year. In order to avoid the ethnic dilemma, the interview was arranged after the end of the semester calendar. However, the researcher's role is observer-as-participant. The results showed: 1.The participants' strong tendency of helping others facilitate a virtuous circle of spiritual growth for self and the others.2.Developing a guidance -counseling model: The aforementioned characters as well as the learning outcomes make their helping profession an everyday life style--anytime and anywhere.3.Through the classroom learning, vicarious reflection and environmental system feedback, Life-Care-Counselors' training model was proved as an effective model to increase the participants' self-proficiency.
