| 摘要: | 本論文的研究架構，是以《禮記．昏義篇》為闡述，由小而大，逐步具體，了解透過「婚禮｣兩性家族得以結合，達到承先啟後的意義。而在研究的層次上，主要可分為三大步驟：第一個步驟就是探討傳統婚禮的背景，以周代以前婚姻型態。第二個步驟探討婚禮的功用和特殊意義，在宗廟祭祀的典禮，必須由夫妻共同主持，除了尊祖敬宗的歷史意義外，娶妻之目的，在以盡孝道，並繁衍子孫。從「六禮｣作為婚姻的序幕延伸，親迎後女子到男家同牢合巹成為婚禮之重心；探討婚前禮即「訂婚｣：包含納采、問名、納吉、納徵、請期進而到親迎的象徵意義，其次則探討正婚禮及婚後禮。第三個步驟、有關一貫道白陽婚禮之意義，融合宗廟祭祀的儀式，仙佛神祇的莊嚴殊勝見證之影響，並對照古典婚禮陽倡陰和的內涵與象徵，以探討婚禮儀節在文化意義上古、今之異同，在傳統的基礎上重新省視現代婚禮的真實意義與精神象徵。 本論文共分五章，第一章〈緒論〉分別說明論文的研究動機、目的、文獻回顧與探討、並做名詞釋義，及並針對前人輩研究方法與章節架構探討。第二章〈一貫道的歷史背景以青陽期、紅陽期及白陽婚禮的淵源〉介紹。再延伸儒、道、佛的教化婚禮。及中國古代婚禮的發展與定型。第三章〈婚禮的儀節意義以歷史文化〉尤其是婚前禮、六禮、正婚禮、婚後禮。探究各朝代貴族婚姻與平民婚姻。第四章〈天道傳奇一貫道白陽婚禮研究〉婚禮的目的，白陽眷屬齊家修辦，向上是夫婦同心事上帝祖先；向下，生兒育女以延續後嗣。第五章〈結論〉總結本論文的研究成果與研究展望。
The research framework of this paper is based on The ＂Fainting Chapter＂ is an elaboration. It is small, big, and gradually concrete.
