    Abstract:   奮起湖老街的發展已有百年的歷史,歷經清領、日治及民國三個時代的開發,使得奮起湖老街的歷史人文相當豐富,產業的發展也從原本的農業及林業,為了因應工人及附近居民的需要,轉變成為以商業為主,老街遂成為當時的農特產集散中心,商業發展盛極一時。後來隨著懷舊風潮的盛行及山區自然景觀為人所知,奮起湖老街轉而發展觀光產業。近年來,文化意識抬頭,擁有老街特色文化的奮起湖老街也陸續推動了文化傳承及文化導覽,期待來訪的遊客不僅只是逛逛老街,而是能認識到真正的奮起湖老街,達到永續經營的核心。  本研究依據研究背景及動機,所訂定出研究目的為:一、探討奮起湖老街歷史與發展概況;二、探討奮起湖老街與地方產業活化之情形;三、奮起湖老街未來的發展規劃及方向。並整理有關文化產業、社區總體營造等相關資料進行分析,以便瞭解本研究相關論述及研究。以「奮起湖老街」為研究個案,透過質性研究中的深度訪談法對政府公部門、專家學者及地方人士進行訪談中了解奮起湖歷史概況、發展情形、與其他單位互動關係、未來規劃及產業發展相關議題,配合文獻分析法及次級資料分析法進行探討分析,並予以綜合整理後得到研究結果。研究結論:奮起湖老街發展歷史相當久遠,為了因應不同的時代背景,老街發展出各項產業,未來的老街將以發展老街特色文化及文化傳承為目標來做努力。最後綜合研究者與受訪者的看法,提出有關後續研究之建議。
      The Fenqihu Old Street has already existed for over a hundred years, experiencing development under the Qing Dynasty, Japanese rule, and ROC, making this place an area of rich historic humanistic atmosphere. To embrace the needs of nearby residents, the industry moved on from the original agriculture and forestry to focus towards trade, for a while making this area a distribution center for agricultural goods. Afterwards, the prevalence of nostalgia and mountain landscape became well known, allowing for the Fenqihu Old Street to develop its tourism industry. In recent years, cultural awareness has received much attention, therefore this area has gradually started promoting cultural heritage as well as tours, hoping that tourists not only come to stroll around this historic street, but get to really know the Fenqihu Old Street to achieve sustainability.  Based on this background and motivation, this research focuses on three goals: Explore the history and development of the Fenqihu Old Street; Discuss the revitalization of the Old Street as well as local industry; Discuss the future direction and development of the Fenqihu Old Street. Information regarding the culture industry and overall community building would be gathered and analyzed to better understand the statements made in this research. With the Fenqihu Old Street as the main focus, in-depth interviews with government public sector officials, experts, and locals were made to understand the history, development, interactions between units, future planning, and also industry development among other topics. These were combined with literature analysis and secondary data analysis to obtain research results. The conclusion of this research is: Fenqihu Old Street has existed for a long period of time. In response to changing times and backgrounds, it has developed various industries, and in the future this area will promote Old Street characteristic culture and culture heritage as its main goal. Lastly, the opinions of researchers and respondents were summarized to propose recommendations for future research.
