Because of the growing up of the internet, the WWW become one of the sources that most people obtain information. By the help of the search engine, user can find out the information quickly. The former research shows that none of a search engines can search 16% of the whole web pages of internet, so that’s the reason why scholar proposed Meta-Search engine. It uses the single query interface to send user’s query to several search engines, then it presents the overall retrieval results to the user, but it has the problem with extension. This is due to the restrictions of HTML language. So this thesis proposes a Meta-Search engine structure that applies XML and XSL. Translate the retrieval result with XSL template and make the data and the presentation separately in order to reduce the difficulty of the data retrieval. Compare with the former Meta-Search engine, it provides better extension.
