    Abstract: 伊格言擅長以豐富的意象書寫小說，本文探討的文章選自伊格言《甕中人》中〈虛稱作者回函的小說〉，從字義來看，是描寫讀者與作家之間通信往來的對話，但實際上卻是作家與自己的對話。作家將自己隱居在山間小屋中，連日大雨將小屋地基破壞，最後小屋被沖毀，作家不得不離開山中，回到平地。另一方面，文中提及的X和L是文明的代表，在愛與被愛以及自我主體性間相互矛盾，又不斷地受到文明世界的引誘，作家終被文明收編。
