    Abstract:   本研究旨在探討一位女中醫師追求自我與宗教探索的生命歷程。敘說她對自我探索的生命困境、生命轉化與自我實現,以及宗教力量改寫女中醫師生命歷程的重要性。本研究採用『質性研究』的敘事取向理解受訪者的生命歷程及內涵,主要做深入訪談,輔以文件收集,和觀察蒐集資料,訪談過程中研究者必須遵守,保密、不批判、尊重、誠實等原則,再則、據實的蒐集和處理研究資料,避免不當的偏差詮釋。  透過受訪者回顧生命歷程述說家庭背景、成長、求學的艱辛、宗教經驗之種種、婚姻生活、行醫與兼任心靈教育的工作經驗。研究歷程中發現受訪者個人特質,深受自幼生長在貧苦、單親、不被重視家庭的影響,環境養成受訪者獨立自主、自律、責任心強、有同理心、喜好探索生命,受訪者如何善用宗教的力量與觀點看待生命每一個轉折點的考驗與挫敗,當受訪者面臨現實與理想的矛盾、衝突時,宗教力量支撐她面對生命內在的恐懼,起初接觸一貫道再轉宗佛教而後在紅塵道場修行一直到現在,轉宗經驗深刻的影響受訪者生命蛻變歷程的轉化。  根據這個研究結果發現女中醫師的生命困境、生命的轉化與女性身分的賦能具有獨特性,這個發現未來可深入更多不同科別、不同年齡女醫師們獨特的生命故事、同時可以做為宗教信仰者、女性組織團體、教育工作者、關懷生命教育者及未來研究相關論題作為參考。
      The purpose of this study was to understand the life course of a female herbalist self and religious exploration. She narrated her life dilemma, life transformation and self-actualization, how the power of religion led her to rewrite her life story. This study used narrative orientation of qualitative research to explore the interviewee's experiences. Data was collected by in-depth interviews, document collection and observation. During the interview, the researcher abided by the principles of confidentiality, no-criticism, respect and honesty. Data collecting and data processing were according to the facts, avoided improper misinterpretation.  By reviewing of her life history, she described her original family background, growth process, hardships of study, various religious experiences, marriage life, the practice of Chinese medicine and as a part-time spiritual educator. Results indicated that her personal characteristics were deeply affected by poor, single-parent, unvalued family. This environment fostered her to become an independent, self-disciplined, responsibile, empathetic, life-curious person. How did she use the power and viewpoints of religion to cope with the tests and frustrations of every turning point in life? When she faced the contradiction and conflict between reality and ideal, the religious power supported her to see the inner fear. From the initial contacted with I-Kuan Tao(一貫道), then converted to Buddhism and keeps practicing Buddhist teachings in the secular world. The experience of conversion had profoundly affected the intervewee's life transformation process.  According to the findings, the life dilemma, life transformation and the empowerment of her female identity, made this female traditional Chinese physician a unique human being. Based on these findings, this study suggests that future research delving into the more unique life stories of female doctors with different disciplines and ages. Morever, future studies can refer this study to religious believers, female organizations, educators, life care educators and other related topics.
