    摘要:   台灣糖業據文史記載十七世紀就已經存在事實,發展至近代已有好幾百年的歷史,台糖公司因全球化貿易及成本考量下,將產糖的工廠陸續關閉,各廠區積極轉型至發展文化觀光產業園區。蒜頭糖廠曾是日本時期全台三大產糖的工廠,也逃不過時代的巨輪壓毀,面臨關廠命運,首先衝擊的是員工的生計,經由台灣糖業公司及員工多方努力下,將原有的載糖、載客五分車改變成觀光小火車的文化創意巧思。尤其台灣每年觀光旅遊所帶來的效益可觀,由傳統產業轉型至觀光產業,保留了糖廠鐵道原始的地情地貌,並致力於傳統糖業文化的保存,在推廣上以觀光旅遊及社區總體營造為永續經營的核心,順應了現今產業文化資產保存、活化與再利用的風潮。本研究以此為研究背景,在確立研究動機後,所訂定研究目的為:一、探討「蒜頭糖廠蔗埕文化園區五分車」發展分析及營運概況。二、分析「蒜頭糖廠蔗埕文化園區」推動整體文化觀光策略。三、探討蒜頭糖廠蔗埕文化園區如何推廣「五分車」產業競爭力。並以質性研究的訪談法與文獻分析法作為研究方法,經由訪談所得資料與所蒐集之文獻,進行整理與比對,再藉由SWOT分析「蒜頭糖廠蔗埕文化園區五分車」推廣的優勢、劣勢、機會與威脅,得到如何發展歷史文化產業與如何推廣情形之研究結果。研究結論是以「蒜頭糖廠蔗埕文化園區五分車」結合周邊景點做為深度小旅遊的推廣為永續經營的核心,並致力於糖業文化資產保存與發展的工作,最後綜合受訪者與研究者的看法,提出「蒜頭糖廠蔗埕文化園區五分車」推廣文化觀光旅遊與後續研究建議。
      According to the literary history records, Taiwan's sugar industry has been existent since the 17th century. The industry's development has hundreds of years of history till today. Due to global trade and cost considerations; Taiwan Sugar Company closed down the sugar factories one after another. Each factory actively transformed from a sugar factory to being developed as a cultural tourism industrial park.  Chia Yi Suantou Sugar Factory was one of the three major sugar factories in Taiwan during the Japanese period. However, the factory couldn't escape the fate of the closures. Through the efforts of Taiwan sugar Company and its employees, the original small sugar- carrying trains were converted into tourist trains to carry passangers . Due to the booming with tourism each year in Taiwan, the traditional sugar industry was successfully transformed into a tourism industry.  Not only has the original design of the sugar factory railway been preserved , but it has also been committed to promoting the preservation of the traditional sugar industry. The study is based on this research background. After confirming the research motivation, the purposes of the study are as follows:(1)Discussing the development and operation overview of Suantou Sugar Factory Cultural Park - Wufenzaiju.(2)Analyzing the strategies in promoting cultural tourism in Suantou Sugar Facory Cultural Park.(3)Discussing the cultural tourism benefits of Suantou Sugar Factory Cultural Park from promoting Wufenzaiju.  In-depth interview was used to collect information. The research method was to compare the information with collected literature and analyse them. Furthermore, using SWOT analyzing (knowing its advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threat) to develop its cultural industry and how to popularize the sugar factory cultural park.  The conclusion of the study is to combine the small sugar- carrying trains of Suantou Sugar Factory Cultural Park with its surrounding attractions to create a sustainable operation and commitment to preserve and continual development of the sugar industry culture.  Finally, based on the views of the interviewees and researchers; this paper puts forward suggestions in promoting cultural tourism and to encourage more research on the small sugar-carrying train in Suantou Sugar Facory Cultural Park.
