The subjects of this study’s questionnaire survey are older elementary school students from an elementary school in Changhua County. The study explores factors that impact older elementary school students when choosing to view online digital contact or live streamed videos; the influencing factors include whether older elementary school students are affected by their personal character traits or other factors such as attitudes of seniors in their household, personal sources of stress, or purposes. Data obtained from the questionnaire surveys was used in cross analysis which found that the types of videos viewed by older elementary school students are affected by behavioral decisiveness while the devices selected for viewing are affected by behavioral responsiveness. In terms of the aspect of viewing concept, disagreement (includes strongly disagree and disagree) is greater than agreement (includes strongly agree and agree) and uncertainty; for the aspect of viewing behavior, disagreement (including strongly disagree and disagree) was also greater than agreement (includes strongly agree and agree) and uncertainty. We hope that the conclusions of this study can provide education agencies and parents with a better understanding to the factors of why older elementary school students watch digital content and live streaming videos. As such, suitable education methods can be planned to guide older elementary school students in selecting suitable digital content and live streaming videos for viewing by utilizing appropriate attitudes.
