Confucianism and Taoism, as the main lines of Chinese philosophical thought, have jointly guided the value concern and life practice of literati of all dynasties. The fusion of Confucianism and Taoism was originally without hindrance. However, since the introduction of Western learning, on the one hand, the meaning of Confucianism and Taoism has been more rigorously and clearly discussed, but at the same time, many debates have arisen from philosophical analysis, and even related issues such as how to locate and the possibility of understanding. Today, the author does not try to be superficial, and reflects on the relationship between the academic requirements of modern“philosophical construction”and the tradition of “classical interpretation”, and tries to take the “Dongpo Yizhuan” as an example, which has always been evaluated for integrating Confucianism and Taoism. Poe's interpretation of “Yi” content and method of interpretation of “Yi” found the enlightenment of “Confucianism and Taoism” and possible approaches to related research.
