    Abstract: 本文以網路普查的方式瞭解台灣公私立大學通識課程的規劃現況,結果顯示大多數學校仍以共同必修和通識課程分類選修為主,公立大學有43%的學校開始採用核心課程模式,私立大學則只有14%的學校採用核心課程模式。公私立大學在共同必修與一般通識課程的學分規劃上有著顯著的差異,私立大學共同必修的學分數比公立大學平均多約5.5個學分,也就是說較高共同必修學分的要求壓擠了一般通識學分數的規劃空間。未來各校通識教育的規劃,除了課程執行模式的修正與減少校定基礎課程外,很重要的是讓通識課程的教師能深刻理解通識教育的內涵與保有對教學的熱忱,進而將好的概念落實到每一門通識課程中,這樣才能真正提升通識教育的品質。
