    Abstract: 道德感是人類特有的生物表現，也令許多學者為之困惑、驚嘆。隨著認知科學的研究進展，人們逐漸了解到，它和語言能力一樣，不只是一個單純的社會化歷程。正常人的大腦必須預先配置需要的道德「管線」，後天的教養才能順利發揮功能。隨著功能性磁振造影技術的進步，情感與道德的表現不再只是抽象的人文素養，更是可以眼睜睜「看」到的具體呈現。也讓我們了解到雖然大腦前額葉皮質具有決斷行為的重要地位，但是大腦各區域匯整到中央的情緒反應，更是影響決策的幕後黑手。文中介紹針對此一課題進行跨域研究的幾種實驗設計，並探討藉禪修提升道德情操的可能機制。
