    Abstract: 相同的誠敬崇拜，不同的時代背景，隨著社會變遷與生活需求的差異，觀音像的造形型態千變萬化，產生了不同的美感以探究觀音佛像之造形。藉由文獻調查法與分析比較法，統整歸納出觀音像的演變。總括，隋代時的觀音像對稱而工整，整體造型偏小；唐代的觀音像造形仍是印度化式的妝扮，身型自然隨意；宋代時的觀音像簡單樸質，但威嚴十足；遼金元時代的觀音像在五官和服飾上都帶有濃厚的外族氣質；明代時的觀音像裝飾華麗細緻，官式作風一板一眼；清代時的觀音像不再有神佛的氣味，卻如同凡人一般，裝飾上也趨於簡單，是為觀音佛像之造形特色。
