    Abstract: 傳統寺廟彩繪是具有悠久歷史的藝術表現,並富有獨特的民族色彩。本研究在探討如何將傳統寺廟彩繪師陳玉峰﹑陳壽彝父子於北港朝天宮的作品詳加記錄與透過實地探訪保存狀況作一系統性的介紹。並且透過北港朝天宮內珍藏的陳氏父子之水陸畫作,將其文化意涵轉換成具體的文物修復的傳承,讓人們藉由此藏品的展示重新認識傳統的寺廟彩繪文化的多元性,並還原寺廟彩繪師原本在傳統裡所具有的涵義象徵,了解傳統文化傳接的困難與文物的珍貴價值。本研究更透過劣化檢測與分析,歸納出水陸畫的劣化因素,作為日後書畫文物劣化的參考。接著此研究中列出的修復流程也能建構出一套的修復策略,可以供日後修復的標準依據。最後,經本研究調查分析發現,寺廟彩繪與典藏文物保存的困境與傳承的困難來自於:1. 傳統寺廟彩繪文化的式微與人才培育斷層的落差。2. 文物保存觀念的建立與認知差異,造成日後文物修復的困難。3. 政府文化機關與地方單位的溝通需要長期達成共識,才能有效率的保存文物與古蹟,並妥善登錄文物的維護與管理。
