Abstract:	這是呂炳川教授在屏東縣春日鄉春日村進行田野工作時的一個照片。在照片當中呂炳川教授以一部盤式錄音機和一部卡式錄音機來進行訪問跟調查的工作。排灣族以台灣南部為活動區域，北起大武山地，南達恆春，西自隘寮，東到太麻里以南海岸。分為Raval亞族和vutsul亞族；vutsul群又分為paumaumaq群（北排灣族）、chaoboobol群和parilario群（南排灣族）、paqaroqaro群（東部排灣）。排灣族人口集中屏東縣，以來義鄉人口最多。瑪家鄉、三地門鄉、泰武鄉、春日鄉、獅子鄉、牡丹鄉及台東縣等行政區也都是排灣族分佈地。總人口數約六萬餘人。
