    Abstract: 這是呂炳川教授在民國58年3月25日在台東縣蘭嶼鄉野銀村做田野工作時所做的紀錄。他和雅美族人在涼亭上做訪問，除了受訪的幾位長者外，旁邊也圍了幾位觀看的小孩、婦女與年輕人，顯現出很生活性的場景。雅美族又稱為達悟族，是台灣唯一海洋民族，居住在蘭嶼島。台灣東南海外的蘭嶼島，面積四十五平方公里，是一火山島。全島大部份為山地，大半為熱帶雨林覆蓋。
