This study is to investigate the correlation among self-concept, school life regulations conformation and learning Performance of preschool children. There are 5 goals of this study, and they are the following. (1) To understand the current status of self-concept, school life regulations conformation and learning Performance among preschool children. (2) To compare the difference in self-concept, school life regulation conformation and learning performance among preschool children with various background variables. (3) To investigate the correlation among self-concept, school life regulations conformation and learning Performance among preschool children. (4) To understand the forecast of self-concept, school life regulations conformation and learning Performance among preschool children. (5) To understand the causal relationship among self-concept, school life regulations conformation and learning Performance among preschool children. Questionnaire survey was used in this study, and the kindergarteners and pre-kindergarteners of Yunlin County and Chiayi County were served as the research object. The total number of effective questionnaires was 702, and after the statistic analysis, the conclusion were the following: 1. There is a significant difference in the self-concept of children with different background variables (sex, class). The girls ranked higher in self-concept than the boys did. And the kindergarteners ranked higher in self-concept than the pre-kindergarteners did. 2. There is a significant difference in school life regulations conformation of children with different background variables (county, rural or urban areas, sex, class, family status). The children from Yunlin county conformed to school life better than the children from Chiayi county did. The children living in a rural area conformed to school life better than the children from county-controlled city did. The girls conformed better than the boys. The kindergarteners conformed better than the pre-kindergarteners did. The children from nuclear and extended/three-generation families conformed better than the children from other types of families. 3. There is a significant difference in learning performance of children with different background variables (sex, class, family status). The girls performed better than the boys. The kindergarteners performed better than the pre-kindergarteners did. The children from nuclear and extended/three-generation families performed better than the children from other types of families. 4. There is a significant correlation among self-concept, school life regulations conformation and learning Performance of preschool children. 5. One could predict a child’s learning performance from his or her self-concept and school life conformation. 6. Every aspect of a preschool child’s self-concept and school regulations conformation affects his or her learning performance.
