漆藝在中國的歷史淵遠流長,從新石器時期以至明清,天然漆的應用皆與生活密切相關,但時至今日,卻漸為世人所遺忘。現今政府與民間皆積極推展文化產業,然社會大眾對漆藝仍然普遍感到陌生,為理解此一問題癥結所在,本研究遂以臺灣漆藝文化為主題,從文化研究的角度,藉著漆器工藝在臺灣呈現及運作的各種現象與脈絡,來探討漆藝在現代生活中的價值與意涵,並思考如何因應都市化與工業化的發展與變遷,重新建立及賦予其新意的可能。 本論文藉由文獻研究、田野調查、深度訪談與問卷調查等方式,來探究漆藝文化及其社會生態。研究目的可分為以下四個主要方向:一、瞭解漆藝在台灣社會的發展脈絡。二、探討漆藝在現代生活中的內容、價值與意涵。三、分析漆藝文化的產業特性及可能的發展方向。四、以文化研究的角度建立以漆藝為類項的學術視域。 總結研究所得,本論文認為,發展天然漆的原料來源;以精緻藝術品與民生實用品並重的方向來推展漆藝的設計;開發時尚風格的物件與生活中的精緻產品;拓展、連結國內外的行銷通路;產品內容的清楚標示;學校當中設立漆藝的專業課程;政府相關單位長期而有系統的研究發展規劃;甚至於地方政府定期舉辦相關的文化活動等等,這些與漆藝的社會生態相關的種種策略與作法,都可能是對漆藝發展有效的論述。 Lacquer art has a long history in China. From the Neolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the lacquer application and life had been closely related but are now gradually passing into oblivion. Although the government and the civil originations are actively promoting cultural industries, most people are still unfamiliar with lacquer art. To understand the key reasons of this issue, this research studies Taiwan lacquer art from cultural perspective of views to explore the values and the meanings of lacquer art in the modern life by investigating various presentations of lacquer craft and its development in Taiwan. Besides, this study also discusses how to innovate lacquer art with new meanings in order to correspond to the changes due to urbanization and industrialization. The paper explores the lacquer culture and its social environment by applying literature studies, fieldwork, in-depth interviews and questionnaires, etc. The purposes of the research can be divided into four main directions.I. To understand the development and environment of lacquer art in Taiwan society.II. To explore the values and meanings of lacquer art in modern life.III. To analyze the industrial characteristics of lacquer art and its possible developmental directions IV. To establish an academic horizon of lacquer art from cultural perspective of views. The paper summarizes the following strategies that are effectives in the development of lacquer art.•To discover more sources for raw lacquer materials.•To promote lacquer products by the designs that equally emphasize on both fine art and practical use.•To produce lacquer artworks which contain elements of fashion and elaboration.•To expend the domestic and international promotional channels and integrate these marketing media.•To clearly label and indicate the content information and materials on lacquer products.•To setup professional lacquer art trainings in schools•A long term plan which is built by the government to systematically support lacquer art development, including routine lacquer cultural events which are organized by local governments.
