Ethnic identity is the most sensitive and fundamental issue in Taiwan. In the past two decades, Taiwanese people with Chinese identity gradually declined in those with Taiwanese identity gradually increased, especially in the younger generation. This is considered to be the germination of Taiwan's consciousness and the so-called "natural independence". However, if this Taiwan identity is indeed "natural," why are there differences in generations? If the older generation were "brainwashed" by the education of China Chauvinism in the past, the younger generation can also be said as "artificially independent" under the current brainwashing education. In this regard, this study tries to analyze the social field teaching materials of the three major publishers, Hanlin, Kangxuan and Nanyi in the 105th grade year of national primary school and compares them with the textbooks of the past National Compilation and Translation Museum to prove that this kind of "artificial independence" brainwashing did exist. This study then argues that such brainwashing is carried out under the ignorance of the public, and the public will not be willing to accept such an education to their own children. As for those insist the continuation of such brainwashing, are those with strong anti-China ideology. This argument will be verified through questionnair survey.
