Since the outbreak of the global COVID-19 pneumonia, vaccines have become a key mean of controlling the epidemic, but Taiwan's vaccine policy is a controversial issues. Many feel that the government has been slow to introduce vaccines and are thus dissatisfied. There are also people who affirm the government's efforts. They believe Taiwan’s acquisition of vaccines is blocked by China and Taiwanese government's commitment to fostering local vaccines can alleviate the problem of vaccine insecurity. What is the key difference between this satisfaction and dissatisfaction of policy? This paper argues that the degree of satisfaction is actually a reflection of political trust, and the key lies in political ideology, and this ideology is the ethnic political issues after Taiwan's colonial experience. In this regard, this argument will be verified through an online questionnaire survey.
